As you know, sweets make me crazy to the point that I am able to give myself chocolate chocolates and search the city for the best places to satisfy my greedy desire. Therefore, if you ever come to Barcelona, you may find me in one of the following places:

Cup & Cake (cupcakes): The most fashionable cake is this cupcake topped with butter cream or fresh cheese. There are many flavors and in Barcelona there are several places where you can try them. After an exhaustive field study, because I love this type of study, I have come to the conclusion that those of the Cup & Cake (or failing those of the Brunch & Cake) are the best cupcakes from Barcelona. The cupcake is always fluffy and the frosting It is light, resulting in a cupcake delicious.

Sirvent (horchata): I have great news: this year the Sirvent horchatería has already opened its doors, so the horchatera summer season has already begun. The horchata of the Sirvent is a classic and, in my opinion, is the best in the city, which makes this place a pilgrimage point during the summer months. The Sirvent horchatería has two branches (in Balmes 130 and in Parlament 56) and if you are not fans of the horchata, ask for a slush of pina colada. Both have stolen my heart.

Dulcinea (Swiss with gingerbreads): Perhaps more appealing in winter than in summer, but another classic of the city is to go to Petritxol Street and taste a Swiss with gingerbreads in one of its historic chocolate shops. Between La Pallaresa and Dulcinea, we always end up in the latter, more for sentimental reasons than for quality, since the gingerbreads are very good in both. The Swiss is a cup chocolate topped with whipped cream. I like this combination so much that half of the time I run out of chocolate before dipping the gingerbreads.
