Small family restaurant, founded in 1946. Few tables, extraordinarily close and pleasant atmosphere. The walls ooze history. Marble tables and a kitchen made with top quality products, simplicity and true to traditions. We ate carbonara rigatoni (the great classic Roman sauce). Also a white artichoke lasagna, a green salad, eggplant parmigiana and Veal involtini (another classic from Rome) accompanied by chicory. The kindness of the young owner (granddaughter of Alfredo and Ada) makes everything taste better, if possible. Everything had the taste of what I had to know. Better to book or, if not, you can wait outside, as we did, with a glass of wine gift from the house. Price: 20-25 euros per person

Settimio is an institution of Rome, known by few and with a level kitchen extraordinary. It was our last meal in the city and we made the right choice. Large restaurant, small kitchen and many men and women with costumes at lunchtime ... Later we learned that it is a restaurant frequented by parliamentarians. The rigatoni all'amatriciana They are the best I've had in my life, I still have them in memory! That day we innovate and ask chicken with white wine sauce, and a fish dish that I don't remember now. Everything was extraordinary! And just the restaurant that I remember best, I only have one photo: the excellent one Tiramisu We had for dessert. I didn't remember taking a picture of the rest of the dishes: I was so hungry and they were so good, I didn't even think about firing my cell phone. Good sign!

Extraordinarily popular place, especially at noon. Very friendly and helpful staff ... even with mastery of Spanish. Full of workers in the area who are going to eat. There we tried the famous roman artichokes, stewed, tender and tasty. Do not forget that in Rome they have another traditional dish: artichokes with beans Who fry whole, how can you see the restaurant L'ORSO 80, a classic also recommended in the city. Exquisite! In the trattoria Gino we tried one of the famous and essential Roman pastries: spaghetti caccio e pepe (cheese and pepper). Yes, they only carry Roman pecorino and pepper. Surprising and very tasty. We ask cod and stewed lamb, as well stewed lentils and a chocolate mousse in three textures very very good. Do not miss this restaurant! Price: About 25 euros per person.
